How Pai Gow Hands are played by the house.
1. No Pair – Use the highest card in the high/top hand and the second and third highest cards in the low/bottom hand. For Instance, if your dealt a hand of (A, K, Q, 10, 7 ,6) you will place ( A, 10, 7, 6, 5) as the high hand and (K, Q) as the low hand.
2. One Pair – Always play a pair as your top hand and the next two highest cards as your bottom hand. For instance, if your dealt a hand of ( A, J, 7, 8, 5, 2, 2) you will place (2, 2, 7, 8, 5) as the top hand and (A, 7) as the bottom hand.
3. Two Pair – Always split two pairs if with aces and any other pair. For instance, if your dealt a hand of (A, A, 2, 2, x, x, x,) you will place (A, A, x, x, x) as the top hand and (2, 2) as the bottom hand.
Split the two pairs if they are Kings, Queens or Jacks and any other pair. Online casino.
For Instance, if your dealt (J, J, 6, 6, A, x, x) you will place (J, J, A, x, x) as your top hand and (6, 6,) as your bottom hand. The only exception is if the other pair is fives, fours, threes, or twos and the hand contains an ace. You will play the two pair in the high hand and the Ace in the low hand. 4. Three Pairs – Always place the highest pair in the top hand. For instance, if your dealt (A, A, 10, 10, 2, 2, x) you will place (10, 10, 2, 2) as your top hand and (A, A) as your bottom hand.
5. Three Of A Kind – Always play a 3 of a kind as your top hand. for instance if your dealt (K, K, K, x, x, x, x) you will place (K, K, K, x, x) as the top hand and (x, x) as the bottom hand. The only exception if theres three aces, always split three aces. For instance, if your dealt (A, A, A, x, x, x, x) you will place ( A, A, x, x, x) as your top hand and (A, x) as your bottom hand.
6. Two Three of a Kind – play the lowest three a of kind as your high hand and split the higher 3 of a kind. for instance, if your dealt (A, A, A, 2, 2, 2) you will place (2, 2, 2, A, x) as your high hand and (A, A) as your low hand.
7. Straight – Always play a straight as your high hand. For instance, if your dealt (10, J, Q, K, A, x, x) you will place (10, J, Q, K, A) as your high hand and (x, x) as your low hand.
Except in a six card straight use the highest card in the low hand. For instance if your dealt (9, 10, J, Q, K, A, x) you will place ( 9, 10, J, Q, K) as your high hand and place (A, x) as your low hand.
Except in a six card straight and a pair at either end you will place the pair as your low hand. For instance, (4, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) you will place (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) as your high hand and place (4, 4) as your low hand.
Split a straight when you have a pair of Jacks, Queens, or Kings with any pair of six or above. For instance, (7, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, J) you will place (J, J, 8, 9, 10) as your high hand and place (7, 7) as your low hand.
Split a straight when having a pair of Aces and any other pair. For instance if your dealt (A, A, 2, 2, 3, 4, 5) you will place (A, A, 3, 4, 5) as your high hand as place (2, 2) as your low hand.
Split the straight when you have two pairs with an ace. For instance, if your dealt (A, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 5) you will place (2, 2, 3, 3, 4) as your high hand and place (A, 5) as your low hand. Remember the ace can also be a Joker.
8. Flush – Always keep a flush as your high hand. for instance if your dealt (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, x, x) you will play (?, ?, ?, ?, ?) as your high hand and place (x, x) as your low hand. With a six card flush use the high card in the low hand. (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, 9?, 6) you will place (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?) as your high hand and place (9?, 6) as your low hand. With a six card flush and a pair use the pair in the low hand. (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, 3?, 3) place (?, ?, ?, ?, ?) as your highhand and place (3?,3) as your low hand. Split the flush the same as a straight. You will choose a straight over a flush when an ace or king can be played in the low hand. you will also split a flush when it can be used as a straight, placing a pair as your low hand.
9. Full House – always split a full house. For instance, if your dealt (K, K, 3, 3, 3, x, x) you will place (3, 3, 3, x, x) as your high hand and place (K, K) as your low hand. The only exception is when the low pair are twos and the hand contains an ace and a king. For instance, if your dealt (8, 8, 8, 2, 2, A, K) you will place (8, 8, 8, 2, 2) as your high hand and place (A, K) as your low hand.
10. Four of Kind – Always place as your high hand if sixes or above. For instance, if your dealt (4, 4, 4, 4, x, x, x) you will place (4, 4, 4, 4, x) as your high hand and place (x, x). Split sevens and above. For instance, if your dealt (7, 7, 7, 7, x, x, x) you will place (7, 7, x, x, x) as your high hand and place (7, 7) as your low hand. The exception when sevens, eights, nines, and tens are with an Ace or with any pair. For instance, if your dealt (7, 7, 7, 7, A, J, x) you will place (7, 7, 7, 7, x) as your high hand and place (A, J) as your low hand. If your dealt (7, 7, 7, 7, 2, 2, x) you will place (7, 7, 7, 7, x) as your high hand and place (2, 2,) as your low hand.
Split four of a kinds if they are jacks, queens, kings, or aces with any pair six or below. For instance, if your dealt (J, J, J, J, 2, 2, x) you will place (J, J, 2, 2, x) as your high hand and place (J, J) as your low hand.
The exception is with seven or above. For instance, if your dealt (Q, Q, Q, Q, 7, 7, x) you will place (Q, Q, Q, Q, x) as your top hand and place (7, 7) as your bottom hand.
11. Straight Flush – Split a straight flush the same as a straight. You will play a straight or a flush instead of a straight flush when the hand contains an ace or king to place in the bottom hand.
12. Royal Flush – always keep as your top hand, unless there are two pairs of tens or above, then you would split the Royal Flush.
13. Five Aces – Always split the aces and joker. For instance, if your dealt (A, A, A, A, joker, x, x) you will place (A, A, A, x, x) as your top hand and place (A, joker) as the bottom hand. Online poker.
The exception is if you have a pair of kings. For instance, if your dealt (A, A, A, A, joker, K, K) you will place (A, A, A, A, joker) as your top hand and (K, K) as your bottom hand.
